Los Angeles Dodgers +115
It’s hard to overlook the Dodgers’ star studded lineup, as they’re the clear favourites in the NL. Stacked with hitting and pitching stars like Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw and David Price they have the deepest roster of studs. Anything but a World Series appearance for them is a disappointment.
Atlanta Braves +700
The Braves boast a lineup and pitching staff of young talent and a superstar by the name of Ronald Acuna, arguably one of baseball’s best at 22 years old. Along with the youngsters comes veterans like Nick Markakis and Felix Hernandez to give the club a perfect mix of youth and experience for a run into the World Series.
Cincinnati Reds +1200
Boasting one of the MLB’s best pitching rotations, the Cincinnati Reds are the NL’s dark horse. Luis Castillo, Sonny Gray, Trevor Bauer, Anthony DeSclafani and Wade Miley will all be taking the bump in 2020 for the Reds. The Reds added veteran star Mike Moustakas in the offseason to add hitting depth and Gold Glove defense. Joey Votto will also look to bounce back in 2020 to return to his MVP type play. Filled with young stars like Shogo Akiyama, Eugenio Suarez and Aristides Aquino the Reds will be a force in the NL.
New York Yankees +125
The New York Yankees are the Las Vegas favourites to win the AL in 2020. They’re our top pick as well and for good reason. Loaded with hitting talent with the likes of DJ LeMahieu, Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez, the Bronx Bombers will be putting up massive numbers and will never be out of the game. Their pitching staff also improved in a major way, adding arguably the best pitcher in baseball, Gerrit Cole. Rounded off with Masahiro Tanaka, James Paxton and JA Happ, the Yanks will be back to their winning ways chasing yet another World Series Title. Anything less is a major disappointment for the city of New York.
Houston Astros +400
Everybody's favourite team, the Houston Astros! All jokes and hate aside, the Astros still hold one of the deepest rosters of elite talent. Stacked with Superstars on the hitting and pitching side of the ball, the Stros are set to have a big season as they look to prove haters and doubters wrong about their alleged cheating scandals. With a chip on their shoulder and the entire baseball world watching their every move, look for the 2020 Houston Astros to be as good as they ever have been.
Chicago White Sox +1400
This might be one of the best longshot picks we’ve written about. The White Sox are set for a major improvement in 2020. This coming from a star studded lineup and pitching staff. What’s different with this loaded roster and others is the youth, most of their elite talent are all young stars looking for a break out season. Backed by a few elite veterans like Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Abreu, Dallas Keuchel and Gio Gonzalez, this Chicago White Sox squad stacks up toe-to-toe with any other team in the MLB. Large expectations fueled by fan momentum on a successful season could give the White Sox a World Series boost.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR) +1300
If anyone saw the 2019 Home Run Derby, then you’ll agree with this pick. A year into his career, Vladdy will come into his Sophomore season with the giant rookie expectations long gone. He can now focus on becoming successful and helping his team win with his big bat.
Bryce Harper (PHI) +1900
Bryce Harper is amongst the strongest and most powerful hitters in the MLB. 2020 will be a big year for Harper and his smooth stroke. He’s a young superstar with veteran experience and awareness. Never count out the “Chosen One”.
Juan Soto (WSH) +2100
A World Series win and the confidence of a champion will lift Soto into Superstardom for the rest of his career. A rookie at 19 years old in 2018, Soto lifted 22 homers in that season and then followed it up with 34 in 2019. At 21 years old, Soto will be in MVP contention and leading the Nationals with his power.
