Although I do not like the term "sleepers", I look for players with a low cost / high value. For example, players often perform badly or are injured the year prior for whatever reason and then bounce back for the new season. Basically you are looking for a player that is playing on a scoring line with an opportunity to excel. You can call them sleepers, I'll call them value players.

Fantasy Hockey - What We Learned 2005-06
Welcome back Hockey for the 2006-07 season. There will be a series of content in regard to Fantasy Hockey on the Fantasygods website. I know, I know, who actually plays fantasy hockey when the sport itself has flown off the radar over the years. Well, I think you’d be surprised.
With all the NHL rule changes and lockout behind us, what have we learned from the 2005-06 season, because, make no mistake, it has changed the landscape of the sport and the strategies you employ in the fantasy world.
